Riviera Elegance

Once used as a workshop by a local carpenter, this stone cottage has been lovingly restored to its former glory by his daughter.  The intimate terrace, jacuzzi and swimming pool are the highlights of this idyllic hideaway. Couples can get a taste of Dordogne by shopping for truffles and Foie Gras at the medieval market town of Sarlat or strolling through The Marqueyssac gardens. Lovers of history will enjoy visiting local Châteaux, prehistoric cave paintings and the Roman artefacts at Vesunna.

The Carpenter’s Daughter

This luxurious castle in Burgundy accommodates up to 20 guests, one child and three babies. The property boasts ten bedrooms and ten bathrooms, each with its own toilet. It offers complete privacy, surrounded by a beautiful park with forest and fish pond (10 ha) with walking and cycling paths. The property also features a heated pool, sauna, hammam and gym. The castle has several salons, a lounge with a professional poker table, a pool table and chess table. Each bedroom is fitted with king size beds, television and DVD player (180X200cm), or two single beds (2x90X200cm). The cozy outdoor area has a wonderful lawned garden with gravel and garden furniture with sunbeds, a playground, table tennis tables, three terraces (one covered), barbecue, outdoor shower, outside sitting area and dining area. Peacock Butterflies

For a pocket of peace in the coastal city of La Rochelle, choose this beautiful villa with its own private terrace. The charming abode is just a fifteen-minute walk to the old town and ten minutes by car to the beach, so when you're not luxuriating in your artfully designed living space, you can discover the very best this popular destination has to offer.

Our favourite part of the house has to be the garden-facing dining room. Gather for wholesome home-cooked meals whipped up in the kitchen – if you're brave, you might even try your hand at making escargots – and slide open the glass doors. On particularly balmy days, you can opt for the outdoor table instead and grill up some fresh produce on the barbecue.

The interior decor is a blend between classically French and ultra-modern style, with a serene colour palette and wicker accents. Matisse fans will delight in the painted Sheaf-inspired wall art in the master bathroom, a cheerful pop of colour in an otherwise muted space. Tasteful marine touches, such as the boat oars in the twin bedroom, are a reminder of your seaside location, encouraging you to hop in the car and discover the stunning strands on your doorstep.

La Pivoine

With such quaint and historic surroundings, this 17th-century terraced brick apartment aims to keep things tranquil and to let Lille do the talking. Explore this medieval principality - that once encompassed parts of northern France, as well as Dutch and Belgian provinces - from your centrally-located home.

Its modern interior brings 21st-century ideals to this otherwise historic neighbourhood with a statement black kitchen, modernist white furnishings and bold accent walls. The open plan dining area is an idyllic spot to spend quick breakfasts with coffee and croissants you picked up from the boulangerie Au Fournil de Jade Abdelkader, just five minutes walk, as well as candlelit dinners made with your market haul selection from Halles de Wazemmes, a fourteen-minute drive or twenty minutes if you’re optioning for the metro. 

Explore the Flanders capital’s distinctive Baroque architecture, its old town, Vieux Lille, and the former coal-mining site which is now the contemporary, Musée du Louvre-Lens. For dinner, stop into Le Présentoir for their seasonal delights and natural wines - our pick is a seat at the banquette with the oxtail terrine. 

Lille Light

This beautiful, thatched 19th-century cottage is as pretty as a picture. We love the gorgeous panoramic views of the river, sea, and the port from the south-facing terrace and garden. It's the perfect spot to watch the boats go by while tucking into some seafood washed down with a glass of local cider.

The interiors are just as charming as the exterior, with exposed stone walls, terracotta floors, vases of hydrangea and whitewashed beamed ceilings decorated with oars and fishing lines. Gather around the hearth with its deer antlers and wood burner when the Brittany weather turns chilly. There are more of those lovely river vistas from inside too. This place is a great retreat for family or friends all year round.

There's plenty to explore out and about – it's less than a minute's walk to the river, while Névez is just 4 kilometres away. The Port de Kerdruc is 270 metres, and there's a sailing school 5.7 kilometres, or if you fancy a day at the beach, Plage de Port Manec'h is just under 6 kilometres from this enchanting home.

Located in Talon, this charming converted farmhouse offers rest and relaxation aplenty amidst a beautifully serene countryside setting. 
 
Rustic yet brimming with modern touches to make you feel right at home, it has plenty of character with its exposed stone walls, beamed ceilings and collection of antique curios. Speaking of outside, the home’s garden is where you’ll want to spend your afternoons, playing lawn games and enjoying alfresco meals – courtesy of the barbecue – at one of its outdoor seating areas. And when you’re ready to explore further afield, you’ll find Vézelay and its beautiful abbey just over thirty minutes away by car, while La Charité-sur-Loire is just an hour’s drive from your door. 


La Ferme Manon

In the rugged south of Corsica, near Bonifacio, sits this chalet-like retreat in the hills. Wood-clad outside, it blends in with the rolling scenery, where ancient woodlands cover the hills like a deep green blanket. It’s a ten-minute drive into Bonifacio, an ancient port town with a buzzing marina and medieval hilltop citadel. The villa itself is set in field-like lawns where a shady olive grove invites you for an afternoon stroll. The turquoise swimming pool sits pride of place on the deck and is lined with loungers. Outdoor dining is on offer under the shaded terrace, framed by ivy. Inside it feels natural with wooden walls and a white-wash vaulted ceiling. Floor to ceiling windows show off a view of the flowering garden on all sides and the huge corner sofa is big enough to fit the whole family easily.
